Remember
Poem

They want us to remember
The fifth day of November
Gunpowder treason and plot
But they neglect to mention
Injustice and oppression
In which tempers grew so hot
Those who lit torches beneath
Ones they branded witches' feet
All sense of justice forgot
Trampling on the weak and poor
Killing Catholics and more
In everything there was rot
So when fire lights the night sky
And you glance up walking by
Perhaps consider your lot
Are you really so unlike
The Guy who they burn and strike
Stare blind at fireworks do not
